1. What kind of services do you provide?

2. What kind of sites do you design?
   1. Advance Computer Group mostly designs informational, promotional, and e-commerce sites for small and medium-sized businesses, but we will work with small and personal projects. Contact us for more info.
3. How long does it take you to complete a project?
   1. Custom websites require a lot of attention and planning in order to be successful. Projects normally take about 3-8 weeks to complete.
   2. The time of the project is very dependant on how well-prepared the client is. If they have their text written and various other details taken care of, then it can be completed in less time. If they are less prepared then the site completion may take longer while we work with them through the details.
4. How involved does my company need to be in the website design process?
   1. Many business owners make the mistake of assuming their website can be created "really quick," without their input.
   2. No matter how great we are at web design, nobody knows your business better than you. Therefore, it's important that you be available for decisions pertaining to your presence on the web.
   3. You should be prepared to provide content (text, photos, etc.) and to make decisions as to layout and functionality of your website. In some situations, you may find that hiring a professional writer may help this process along.
5. Do you offer consultation to potential clients?
   1. Yes. Potential clients are welcome to contact us for a free consultation regarding any project or service they might be interested in.
6. Do you require a signed contract?
   1. This depends on the service being provided. For website design projects, yes, in order to ensure that you get the required deliverables at the right price.
7. If you design my website, who will own it?
   1. You will. Once the site is completed, you can manage it however you wish. Depending on your company's ability and comfort level with websites, you may want to have us do it for you. This is something we can discuss with you on our initial meeting.
8. Can Advance Computer Group take over the maintenance of my website if it was designed by another company?
   1. Yes. Just give us the list of changes you want to the site to the site, such as adding pictures and/or modifying content, and we'll take care of it. Contact us with your requirements and we'll price a plan for you. We also offer ad-hoc services on an hourly basis.
9. What can I expect from having a website?
   1. To say that your site will be online one day, and that your company will be flooded with customers the next, is unrealistic.
   2. The average small business website may get 30-200 visitors a day. Some of the visitors may become real clients, and others will be simply browsing around. However, your website will be online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Even 30 visitors a day translates into about 900 visitors a month (around 10,000 visitors a year).
   3. Clearly, for a relatively small investment, the return on investment from a custom website is well worth it.

Pricing

1. How much do you charge for your services?
   1. Fees for custom sites have ranged from a few hundred dollars to over $15,000, depending on the customer's needs and complexity of the project. Request a free quote for more specific pricing.
   2. Services that are billed on a per hour basis start at $35/hr. Prepaid services may be purchased at a discount.
2. Do you offer any discounts?
   1. Yes. Advance Computer Group offers free domain name registration with our hosting plans.
   2. You may qualify for a free first year of hosting if you choose us to design your website.
   3. Prepaid hours may be purchased at a discount.
   4. Additionally, we offer a 10% discount on our website designs to nonprofit organizations.
3. When do I have to pay you?
   1. For smaller projects we require 1/2 of the total price after the signing of the contract and 1/2 after project completion. We set up milestones for larger projects and accept payments after the successful completion of each milestone.
4. How can I pay you?
   1. You can pay by check or online by PayPal or Credit Card.

E-Commerce

1. How many products can I sell online?
   1. You can sell as many (or little) products as you like.
2. How can I accept payment for my products/services?
   1. There are several options available to you, depending on the resources you have to work with. Some of the options include:
      1. Personal check or money order.
      2. Online pay service like PayPal.
      3. Credit card processing
3. Can I use PayPal to accept online payments?
   1. Yes, we can integrate your site to work with PayPal. Customers will have the option to pay using their credit cards or PayPal funds, without having to purchase a merchant account.
4. What if I don't have a merchant account?
   1. To accept credit card payments without having to open a merchant account, you need a service like PayPal. Your cost to using these services is a small percentage of the sales. It is a great way for small businesses and startups to sell online if they aren't sure what the expected volume of online sales is.

Content Management System (CMS)

1. What is CMS?
   1. CMS is an acronym for Content Management System. It is a means by which a person is able to easily edit and manage the content of their website without having to learn all the coding that is required to build the site.
2. How much will the necessary software cost?
   1. Nothing because, we use open source software to customize CMS applications to your needs.
3. How can I make changes to my own website?
   1. After we customize your CMS, we'll provide you with an administrative interface that is intuitive and simple to use. This interface will allow you to edit and make all the necessary changes without having to learn code.

Domain Name Registration

1. What is a domain name?
   1. It is a name owned by a person or company, which is used to identify the location of a particular web page.
2. What does it cost to get a domain name?
   1. Our hosting plans include free domain name registration. Otherwise, it is $10 - $12 per year depending on the suffix used.
3. If you arrange my domain name, who will own it?
   1. You will. Advance Computer Group only registers the name for you. If you chose to transfer your domain at a later date to another provider, or terminate it, you can do so.

Internet Hosting

1. Do I have to host my site with you?
   1. No. Most clients host their websites with us because of our value added services to them, but some prefer to host it themselves.
2. What's included with the hosting packages you provide?
   1. We will set your site up on a host server, configure your email addresses, and deal with technical support when necessary. We will also manage your account, such as DNS changes and database creations.
3. What does it cost to have to have you arrange and manage my site's hosting?
   1. It depends on your needs. Our prices range from $6 to $10 per month. Check out our hosting page for more info.

1. How will I receive my logo after you design it for me?
   1. When we create a logo for you, you will receive them in Adobe Illustrator EPS, a 300 dpi, CMYK TIF, a 72 dpi, RGB JPG, a PNG, and an indexed color GIF.
   2. The various formats listed should allow you to utilize your logo just about anywhere. The EPS format is a vector-based format, which means that you can resize the image as needed without the worries of distorting it. We can provide additional formats upon request at no additional charge.
